The institution implements a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) policy, which facilitates the transfer of academic credits. Learning outcomes for each module are explicitly defined in module guides and made accessible to students via a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Additionally, each campus features a Career Centre that provides training in workplace-readiness skills, access to part-time employment opportunities, and support for graduate placement.

Currently, the IIE is developing a new campus in the Sandton CBD with a capacity for 9,000 students. This project is expected to further enhance the student experience and serves as a strategic milestone in the institution’s pursuit of formal “university” status.
